Saferider was established in 2002 by me - Tony Edwards.
I have always been passionate about motorcycling and have ridden since I was 16. Many years ago I was asked to consider training as an instructor and thought that it would be an interesting part-time hobby, and a useful thing to do. I have always had a keen interest in roadcraft and believe one should continuously strive to learn and improve road safety.
From day one I loved the job and knew that this was the way that my career should go. I enjoyed helping people to ride bikes and knew that I was making a valuable contribution to their future safety as motorcyclists, whether they would continue to ride small bikes on L plates or whether they would progress to take their tests and go on to bigger bikes.
in 2002 I decided to start my own training school and haven't looked back since. I count myself one of those lucky individuals who can truly say they love going to work.
